Web Conference Reflection March 18, 2012

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to make too many of the web conferences for this course.  My focus has been on family issues, so when I did join the conference on March 18 it was quite enlightening. First of all, I was expecting (and prepared)  to share some on the progress of my internship plan, but this was not the case.  Instead, the session was focused on questions and answers regarding the program.  It seems that every time I am on a conference I learn something new about the program.  This week, for example, I became aware of Lamar's offering of ILD in June for about half the cost of most other sessions.  I immediately sent an e-mail to register, but haven't heard back yet.  I also was directed to sample test items for the certification exam which will be helpful to prepare for the test.  To be honest, one of the hardest parts of this program is that I feel somewhat isolated.  I was hoping for a cohort that worked together more, but it looks like the program is not really designed along those lines.  Either that or I am not putting myself into the loop enough.  If others are reading this blog, maybe you can fill me in on what I might be missing.
